There are three that bear witness in the earth the Apostle John tells us…they are the blood, the Holy Spirit and water. All three have both a natural and spiritual importance. They testify to the activity of God in the earth right down from creation to our re-creation! How important is the water!
Water testifies today of our salvation experience…it is a witness to the Christ within! It witnesses today to the change Christ has wrought in our hearts- it delivers and saves us because it speaks of a good conscience before God….We need to obey and be baptised!

The expectation of the believers is that we will be raptured at the appearance of Jesus. However, just because you believe does not mean that it will be an event that you experience….there is more that is required as we have seen. Where do you stand before the Lord? Are you a habitually sinning believer, have you surrendered your will to His and are you a worshipper?

As we commence the New Year and you make your resolutions, a good way to maintain your focus and be successful is:
1.be convinced that what you are doing has the right purpose
2.be convinced of the benefit in what you are planning to do
3.If there’s pain involved, endure!

It’s time to pray. We might have to keep praying, and not give up on the sixth ‘there’s nothing’. The season is changing. Prepare. Plant. Get ready to start running as soon as the cloud appears. There is the sound of abundance of rain. 1 Kings 17 & 18

We are adopted through the Spirit of God. When we receive Christ as Lord and Saviour of our lives, by asking forgiveness of our sins and repenting i.e. literally turning away from our sins we are placed into Christ’s body by the Holy Spirit. We also note that whilst we are under the Fathers authority and power there is a liberty about that relationship only when we completely submit to His lordship over our lives. It is a sort of biblical paradox.
Paul tells us how the adoption comes to pass…1 Cor.12:13,14

Jesus said ‘you are the light of the world’. This Christmas, let’s look for and reclaim the opportunities to ‘be the light’ – in our hearts, in our workplaces, in our homes, in our community, in our finances, in our holidays. Where is He? He is in you, making a difference. Let it shine!

Where are we today in this? Has the song of the Lord gone quiet in our hearts? Do we need to thirst for Him, be being filled with the Spirit, feed on His word, and release His song from our hearts to Him. Have we let other things, weights, hold back the song? Are we letting ourselves be robbed of the victory we should walk in by letting something silence our praise which blesses God, releases us, inspires and spurs others towards the Lord, and makes the devil retreat? Let’s each one and together, be a victorious, spirit-filled, word-filled, people of praise.

Do we really believe – understand & trust in the character of our great Father God, and in the Great Advocate Jesus who lives to make intercession for us, and that we as His bride can come boldly and ask for justice. God will reverse the stealing, killing and destroying of the enemy of our soul. He is our loving, merciful Father, Jesus is our advocate, we are His bride, living in loving, sure hope, and yes, of course he will hear and answer our prayers.
So when you feel like giving up – always pray, don’t quit. He will give you justice. He will answer you.

There is more to it than our just accepting what Jesus has done. We don’t rest because Jesus has won the battle for us; we actually have our own battles to fight just as Jesus did in this life Luke 4. The disarming has removed from satan his winning attitude. It gives the church the edge fighting against unseen forces. The word translated ‘disarm’ means ‘to strip’ and thee word translated “power” is actually the word authority. He has stripped their authority from them. ..especially in the realm of death. Remember, satan has come to kill steal and destroy (John 10:10)! Now, we can proclaim with Paul….O death, where is your sting; O grave, where is your victory?

SOWING: Be pro-active, dont miss the time. The type of ground matters. Sow in all seasons, times, places and sow generously. Sowing can be in tears and pain. Don't sow bad stuff and don't give up!
REAPING: It is always time - BE READY! You can harvest what someone else sowed. It's joyful; don't be lazy or sleep. Pray for workers - get God's heart for harvest. What do harvest workers do? GATHER the harvest.
The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few...I sent you to reap!

Timothy puts forth the challenge of seeking your heart to see if you are listening to the calling of God, and, like Jonah, think about 'whats swallowing you' and stopping you from obeying the voice of God.

Let’s remove what stops the light shining - Let your light so shine. Don’t cover it. Let’s turn toward Jesus, not toward the world. Let’s be pro-active about loving our brother – Jesus said by this everyone will know that we are disciples, fully devoted followers of Jesus. Be His light…
