ABOUT SCF YOUTH

Southside Youth is a Bible believing Youth fellowship. We believe that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, died in our place taking the just penalty for our sins, and we are also committed to 'making fully devoted followers of Christ from all the nations' and serving the Church.

Southside Youth is a multi-national Youth Fellowship with young people from different cultural and national backgrounds. We have various activities and programs that are aimed to develop the whole person, activities include workshops, outdoor games, adventure activities, formals, local out reach and camps.

We are a group of about 60 Young people youth (12-18) & young adults (18-25), we represent about 20 different nationalities and cultures.

	STEPHEN TAN - LEADERS - FUSE 1012 I'm in my penultimate year of studying Commerce and Law at UNSW. Eventually I will become a lawyer…yes, I know how to sue people. But because that's not very nice I will mainly be suing big companies with too much money. Why am I a Christian? There is nothing greater to live for in this life than Jesus. Anything else is just second best. Funniest moment in my life Well, one of the funniest moments in my life was when I drank a coconut crushed ice drink in Thailand (even though I was told to stay away from unbottled water) and ended up spewing a glorious jet of pad thai all over the lobby floor of my hotel in front of my new tour group members and my subsequently unhappy tour guide Pun Pun.

	PAUL ARTALE - LEADER - FUSE 67 Credit Manager - Head up a team that provides technology, training, quality monitoring and reporting services to my company. Why am I a Christian? Only a fool would ignore Jesus' offer of forgiveness. Who wants to live in Hell after they die? Funniest moment in my life: Blew up a friend's barbeque by putting tinned food inside!
	DANIEL STEVENS - LEADER-IN-TRAINING - FUSE 67 I am currently completing my secondary school studies.... I work at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts miranda and as an indoor soccer referee at CBC indoor sports centre. Why am I a Christian? We have all done wrong things in our lives and deserve death as punishment... but Christ gave us a second chance by dying for us and rising from the dead. Funniest moment in life: Probably has to be when I collided with a guy going up the t-bar at perisher when i was 7 years old..... It caused a pretty long delay!
	DANIEL TALBOT - LEADER ZEAL & ACTIVITIES
	SARAH MCCOLOUGH - LEADER - REFINE I am currently working as a Primary School teacher, at the moment I am teaching Kindergarten…very cute! Why am I a Christian? Because I have been blessed to be chosen by God to be one of His children, to be given grace and forgiveness for my sins and to have been given faith to believe the truth of His word. Throughout my journey God has revealed more and more of His character and love to me, showing me what a difference He makes when we put Him at the centre of our life. It's not so much about what we do but rather what we let God do…and He has plans to do amazing things if we trust Him and let Him take the lead! Funniest Moment in my life: It was pretty hilarious when I found out off my sister that all this time I'd been belting out the wrong words to a song off an add…Instead of "because your gorgeous" I was walking around singing "big as your fortune"…We've discovered it's one of my many talents to invent my own lyrics to songs.
	KARA L STEVENS - CO-LEADER REFINE I travel to Wollongong most days to study linguistics. I work in retail part time. Why am I a Christian? I'm a "follower of Christ" because God in His love redeemed me. I follow Him because I love Him. Funniest moment in my life: I'll never forget the time my nana kickboxed my cousin. She's this sweet little old lady, but one time she had enough of his antics, walked right over and kickboxed him! Haa!!
